Happy Times
I'm sorry I haven't been updating this blog. I realized that there wasn't really a point to keeping up both my family blog and this one, since I was pregnant. (The feeling of infertlity never goes away...but some seem to think that I am no longer infertile now that I have a daughter. For those of you who are/have been infertile in the past, you know how I feel.) If you want to keep up with the goings-on with our little family, complete with our newest addition, Johanna...go here!

The Compromise
When we were picking out girl names, Casey promised that he would stop pushing for car names (after I vetoed Porsche AGAIN). As a tribute to my husband's undying love of cars, I have allowed him to pick out this walker/bouncer/activity center for our daughter:

It's a good thing that I like cars, too. :)

21 weeks
We're over halfway there now! Woot woot!
I'm not posting a picture this week, because both of the pictures I took aren't really blog-worthy. I'm in my pjs and look kind of doofy..
My doctor moved into his own office, so he is still setting up all of his equipment. He didn't have his ultrasound hooked up yet, so I didn't get any baby pictures this week (darnit. I love getting Minion pictures!) But he did all of my measurements (my belly around, and from my pubic bone to the top of my uterus, as well as measuring Minion's heartbeat with a Doppler.) and he said everything is measuring perfectly. She still has a lazy boy heartbeat, but that just means she takes after her Daddy. :) (he has high blood pressure and a low pulse, whereas I have low blood pressure and a super high pulse.)
He mentioned that I have finally started gaining weight (thank you, appetite, for returning with such a vengeance.) but it's only 3 pounds. :) He said that's FANTASTIC because I need to gain less than "normal" women. I wasn't exactly thin when I started this whole thing!
The only thing he's a little worried about is my blood pressure (which is super low anyway, but isn't getting higher even with all this blood I've been making.) I get really dizzy if I go up the stairs, or do anything strenuous (you know, like working.)(also bending down to get something off the floor will make me dizzy.) He said that I have to move much more slowly than I'm used to...but he also said there is no reason at all for me to not be working (except I just need to slow down!) I'm not used to not being able to do everything that I want/need to do. But I have great people that can help pick up the slack.
AND, I get to get a chicken pox titer, to see if I am immune to it. I was recently exposed to someone who has the chicken pox/shingles, and I am at risk for developing it as all because 1: I never got chicken pox as a child and 2: my immune system sucks right now. Go me. More bloodwork! He said that I will have that done (and a toxoplasmosis screen) when I get my sugar test. Yay, more bloodwork. I'm going to start looking like a heroin junkie with all these marks on my arms....

Death in the Family
This conversation took place while I was putting on my nightgown since all of my pajama pants are in the wash. I haven't worn this particular nightgown in several months, and being that it has polka dots and horizontal stripes, I look pretty big in it.
Me: "Oh my goodness honey! LOOK AT ME! This is horrible! Look at how huge I look!
Casey: "Wow, sweetie. You'd better take that off before you stretch it out. Would you like me to go get a tarp from the garage for you to wear? I have rope, I can fashion you a belt."
"Panama City Officials have confirmed the body found was that of Casey Sebold. Though autopsy results have not been released, the medical examiner is tentatively stating his death was caused by strangulation. Mr. Sebold's wife, Lyndsey, could not be found for comment."

Just Shut Up
Why do people feel the need to tell me how horrible I'm going to be feeling in the future? How miserable I'm going to be while being pregnant, and how THEY felt when THEY were pregnant? "Oh, Lyndsey....you're 20 weeks! You're going to be so miserable in a few weeks, you won't be able to wait to get that kid out!"
Just shut up. Seriously.
This Minion is 4 years coming...and I'm going to enjoy every little horrible part of this pregnancy. Even when I was throwing up my toenails, Casey would hold back my hair and say, "I'm so glad you're throwing up....I'm so glad you're sick...." (and then he would bring me water and crackers to the bathroom.) He totally gets it! Every crappy thing that women go through while being pregnant means that something is going right! Your body is doing its job! So what if you're miserable?!
I seriously couldn't care less that walking up stairs makes me dizzy, and that I still can't eat red meat (unless it's hamburger helper). Who cares that it hurts to put on my socks and shoes in the morning, or that I never sleep because I'm too busy trekking to the bathroom? And back pain? Whoopee! I'm growing a baby, and that's what matters. In four months, I'm going to receive the greatest gift, and all of this "misery" that everyone complains about won't matter at all. I'm going to enjoy it, even if some parts kind of suck right now.

?!
I'm 20 weeks pregnant. I'm halfway done.
Holy crap.
No picture today. I was too busy trying to stay calm and trying to take a nap so my eye would stop twitching (it's been twitching for a solid week...and it's getting pretty annoying. The two most common causes are stress/anxiety and being tired.) I'll get Casey to take a picture sometime within the next couple of days.
Quote of the Day:
Casey: "You know honey, you're starting to waddle a little bit."
Me: "Thanks, sweetheart. Say that again, and you're going to be waddling, too."
News of the week: I actually felt her move. An honest to goodness movement. All I've had so far was those little flutters that make me think, "Was that Minion or is that gas? I hope I don't fart." Of course, she decided to move when I was in the middle of a work seminar, and I was in the middle of speaking....so I could really do is stop talking and grin like an idiot. :) Of course, I haven't felt that kind of solid movement since yesterday....so I'm getting a little impatient.
And I've only gained 5 pounds so far. Yeah...Mama's got her appetite back.

Things I Learned Today...
My emotions are very, very closely tied to food. More specifically, my emotions are very closely tied to how hungry I am.
Today I couldn't get a real lunch break, because I needed to run work-related errands on a very tight schedule. No biggie....I could still pick up some food on my way back to work and eat it really quickly. I went to a local fast food joint and got a cheese coney and tater tots, something that I have been literally dreaming about for days. I was very specific - I said no chili. I must have said no chili three or four times. When they repeated my order back, they said no chili. When I got my order, I assumed they weren't idiots and I drove off because I knew we were super busy at work, and I didn't have time to sit there and sift through my order to make sure it was right. (After all, they repeated it back to me correctly.)
I got back to work, and discovered that they still put chili all over my order. All of it...even the tater tots. I hate chili. Apparently, there is nothing more pitiful than a pregnant woman bursting into tears over a hot dog. Tears led to a bloody nose. Bloody nose led to more tears. You can see how this could present the problem of not being able to get anything done at work, between tears and nosebleeds.
I am very, very hungry. And very, very grumpy.

19 week picture
My dad inadvertently took my weekly belly shot. Here is the story behind Casey's and my facial expressions:
Anyone who knows my husband also knows that he is completely incapable to taking a good picture. He is very photogenic, but he likes to do something to mess up any picture that we take....which annoys the crap out of me (and infuriated my mother to no end when she was taking wedding pictures....he looks like Dr. Evil in every one of them.)
Well, the first couple of pictures were messed up because he was purposely making a funny face, and I was talking and telling his to smile nicely. In the third picture, I was stepping away because he was trying to unsnap my bra. (Yes. He was. And he almost succeeded.) This was the last picture, where I'm cracking up at him, and shielding my back from his nimble little fingers.
Here we are, standing in my dad's office...we popped in for a surprise visit after our yearly trek to Casey's accountant to get our taxes done. :) Enjoy! (Like my shirt? Kira gave me almost all of her preggo clothes, so I'm basically set! I don't have to buy anything!)

Phobias
There are a lot of really gross things that happen while you're pregnant. Lots of bodily functions and nastiness that anyone who has been pregnant can look back and laugh (or cry) about.
Wanna know what Casey is dreading? Out of aaaall the weird things that we have read about and speculated about and actually experienced...
Casey is afraid of my belly button popping out. He said that the thought of my belly button becoming an outie is "quite possibly the grossest, the most nasty thing about being pregnant ever."
He is so desperate to not have to see my belly button for the next four months that he has offered to buy me my very own stock in belly button covering bandaids, in any print that I choose....as long as I promise to keep my belly button covered at all times.
I, on the other hand, think this is hilarious, and plan on torturing him with my "gross" belly button as soon as it pops out. At least for a little while....I mean, this is a chance to get some really cute bandaids. :)
Would it be mean to get these for my belly button bandaids? Just to freak him out?

*sigh*
Dear Bladder,
I would like some control back. Just sayin'. Or can you at least give me a warning if you're going to "lose it" when I sneeze? Oooh, or maybe we could just let me sleep through the night? I would take that over bladder control.
Dear Joints,
I know it's funny to have me stumble and fall a lot...but it's starting to be a little painful. My ankles, especially, like to give out at inopportune times (i.e. while I'm on the stairs) and I just can't be falling all the time. I am having a baby, after all. I need to keep her safe and not fall on her.
Dear Subconscious,
CAN YOU PLEASE STOP GIVING ME NIGHTMARES FROM HELL???? Seriously! I already have anxiety issues and nightmare issues, but this night terror thing has GOT to stop. I know it must be hil.ar.i.ous when I wake up crying (again) because I thought I was in the ER miscarrying (again) but my husband is starting to think I need to take sleeping pills to get through the night (and you and I both know that's not the answer.)
Thanks, guys! I really appreciate it!
-Lyndsey
Dear Minion,
You're awesome. Grow big and strong, and I'll see you this summer. I promise Daddy won't name you after a car....but I can't say that you won't have a car bouncer seat. I've got to compromise.
Love, Mommy

I made this shirt today with the help of my awesome buddy, Kira. I can't wait to wear it! It totally suits me. :)

17 weeks!
Holy crap. I'm 17 weeks pregnant. Not only am I actually pregnant, but I'm looking pregnant. :) I'm enjoying the "I can still wear my own shirts and look cute" pregnant stage. They're tight around my belly, but not so tight that it's uncomfortable. I am fat, but it's okay because I'm pregnant. Right? RIGHT?!
The doctors/nurses were a little shocked when I got on the scale for my monthly weigh-in. I actually weight several pounds less than I did pre-pregnancy. Since I'm not actively dieting and just eating super healthy (not that I have a choice....), and since I didn't exactly start out "underweight" they're not worried about it.
We went to get our ultrasound, and we were hoping that our little Minion would be cooperative and show off the goods, so we would know what we're having. The tech took her sweet freaking time measuring the head and legs and all that fun stuff. She mentioned that Minion had a "slow, lazy boy heartbeat". She was pointing out the feet and toes and all...then she stopped talking. I asked what we were looking at. She said, "Her butt." me: "Her butt??" tech:"Her butt." So, there you have it, folks. We're having a little girl! And seriously, she would NOT stay still. She was throwing punches and kicks like crazy...and she was trying her darndest to stand completely on her head. I'm starting to feel little flutters intermittently...but nothing on a regular basis. It's kind of annoying....I want to know she's there!
And look at how cute she is!
Speaking of Gracie...we have a new game/trick (which is quite the feat, because Gracie can barely sit on command.) I lift up my shirt and say, "Kiss the baby!" and Gracie comes RUNNING and starts licking my belly furiously. (okay, Heather and Megan....stop gagging. We think it's cute.)

Hungry Hungry Hippo
Casey and I decided to carpool today. Since I have to work from 7am to 8pm, and he had to work from 8am-7pm...it just made sense. (He doesn't mind hanging out at my work for the last hour...everyone I work with adores him.)
Since I knew I wouldn't have the car to run home and get food on my lunch break, I decided to pack all of the food that I may need today (which includes lunch and snacks for the day.)
My sweet husband watched in amazement while I filled my little grocery bag full of the following:
2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
an apple
about 4 ounces of cubed colby jack cheese
a big ziploc back of celery sticks (I keep a jar of peanut butter at work)
a bag of baby carrots
a bowl of beef and veggie soup
After I was finished, he said "Holy COW, woman! How much food can you eat?!"
The funny part is that while I was staring at the bag full of food, I was thinking, "I hope this will be enough...."

Growing....
Yesterday morning while still in bed, Casey asked me what the Minion was up to. I said, "Oh, just hanging out. Growing and stuff." He smiled and leaned down, kissed my tummy, and said, "Don't forget to grow a penis."
Any guesses as to what Casey is hoping for?

Unwillingly Healthy
Once my nausea started dissipating, I starting eating normally again. It started with a tiny bite of birthday cake, and it ended with a fast food breakfast burrito. More specifically, it ended with me throwing up said breakfast burrito at work, all over myself. That was a very bad morning.
That's when I decided it was just easier to forgo taste and stick to healthy foods. As much as I would love to eat all the fast food I can (because it is so much easier! Drive thru, anyone?) my stomach just doesn't agree. It's a little depressing that celery sticks can soothe my stomach like nothing else can. And when I starting getting dressed this morning so I could go pick up an apple pie (because I don't have the time/energy/talent to try and make one myself) I went to the fridge and grumpily ate apple slices and peanut butter. I am just not willing to throw up this entire pregnancy just to satisfy my taste buds.
Don't get me wrong...I DO like healthy food most of the time. I can eat my weight in raw veggies....but it's just not as enjoyable when it's something that you HAVE to eat, and you can't eat any of the fun favorites that you might crave. (You know...like velveeta shells and cheese. And potato chips. And chocolate.) Casey is wanting to make steaks for dinner tonight, and I'm so dreading it, just remembering my last encounter with steak. I might have to just stick to the potatoes (which is kind of hit or miss) and broccoli.
All this healthy eating explains why I haven't gained even one little pound since I found out I was pregnant. I get conflicting answers when I ask whether this is a good or a bad thing. I'll ask my doctor when I go in for another ultrasound this Thursday. (I guess that it's a cool thing that I get ultrasounds every time I go to the doctor...since I'm both high risk and infertile, they like to keep really close tabs on Minion. And now I get trans-abdominal ultrasounds instead of the wand, which is even better!)
Well, I'm going to sign off for now. All this rabbit food makes me hungry much more frequently...so I have to go forage.

Pregnancy Fun Facts
I have been very, very fortunate not to have to deal with the horrible morning sickness from Hades. However, there were a few things that I was not expecting to deal with that I am now suffering with all the time.
-daily nosebleeds, usually brought on by trying to blow my nose
-joint pain (who in the hell ever thought it was a good idea to produce relaxin in the first trimester? Seriously?)
-hip pain (I'm putting this in its own category, because it's so so so bad.)
-sciatica (different from hip pain....sciatica is butt pain.)
-headaches
-flatulence that rivals my dogs' (okay, that one is kind of funny....and sometimes I'm almost grateful for the stuffy nose...)
-sweating. all.the.time. Even when I'm cold.
-Weird veins popping up everywhere. My boobs look like road maps.
-vision changes. I'm trying to put off getting new glasses....but I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to.
-itchiness all over! (back, legs, and boobs are the worst!) I can't stand wearing a bra for longer than 10 minutes. Casey thinks it's great....the coworkers think it's weird.
-really really vivid dreams.
Wow. This list was longer than I thought it would be. Oh well.
I'm going to crawl back into bed. My immune system hates me and I'm coming down with another bug of some sort.

Once Infertile, Always Infertile
I still think of myself as infertile. I don't think I'll ever really believe that I might actually have a baby. I haven't bought one single baby item. Not a sock, not a onsie...because I think there is this nagging fear in the back on my mind that I might lose this one, too. I know that being in the second trimester lowers my chance of miscarriage exponentially...but there are still plenty of women that lose children during any time in their pregnancy. Anything can happen! I know a woman personally who lost her child in her 8th month of pregnancy. I can't even begin to imagine how devastating that was for her and her family. I was barely out of the first month....I have thought a lot about how I sometimes feel so silly and stupid, mourning a child that never was. Crying myself to sleep (yes, sometimes even now) over a child that obviously wasn't meant to be.
I found this quote on another blog, and it touched my heart. It speaks to anyone (man or woman) that has ever dealt with infertility.
"The English language lacks the words to mourn an absence. For the loss of a parent, grandparent, spouse, child or friend, we have all manner of words and phrases, some helpful some not. Still we are conditioned to say something, even if it is only “I’m sorry for your loss.” But for an absence, for someone who was never there at all, we are wordless to capture that particular emptiness. For those who deeply want children and are denied them, those missing babies hover like silent ephemeral shadows over their lives. Who can describe the feel of a tiny hand that is never held?" - Laura Bush, Former First Lady

Oh Baby!
Had my end-of-first-trimester-beginning-of-second-trimester ultrasound today.
There's a baby in there! (You know, in case you forgot...) It's got arms and legs and hands and feet and everything! It was my first trans-abdominal ultrasound (which, seriously, thrilled me to pieces.) so it was a little hard to see if there were any other parts there. Hopefully next month we'll be able to see. :) The Minion had his hand in his mouth, that was VERY clear. And when she poked my belly in a certain spot, he started to dance and move around. It was so cool. I can't wait until I can feel it.
We heard the heart! It was so clear and so fast, and I was totally terrified that it wouldn't be there. I cried....a lot. So much that Casey came over and held my hand. He had the silliest grin on his face. I think he might be excited too...
WELL, Casey took a picture of my belly this morning. I actually have a little baby belly. :) I was super dreading buying maternity clothes, but MAN I'm glad I did. I was getting a little tight in my regular jeans, and using a rubber band through the button hole just WASN'T comfy. Holy cow, why didn't anyone tell me maternity pants were so comfortable?! Seriously?! I would have started wearing them weeks ago had I known how nice they felt. I can't wait to go get more from Kira...because I'm going to start living in them (instead of pj pants, which was the only thing that was comfy to wear.)
Without further adieu, the first trimester belly!

And, the extreme closeup! I don't care that I'm fat. I'm big, blond, and beautiful!

What the?
Today, I'm 13 weeks pregnant.
Yesterday, I was stunned to find that it was getting very hard to button up my favorite jeans, and keeping them buttoned for any length of times was very uncomfortable.
Tomorrow, I'm going to go buy some pregnancy scrubs...because I caught myself rolling DOWN my scrub pants because they were hurting my belly. (I buy the scrubs that go up over my belly because I hate bending over at work and showing off my butt crack. No one wants to see that!)
As of today, I have only gained 4 pounds...so apparently all this extra tummy is actual minion/minion's cushiony room.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. I am excited, there is no doubt about that. But NO woman likes to see the numbers on the scale creep up...and no one in their right mind likes to buy clothes because they outgrew their old ones. That part will always suck.

Oops
I've been a very bad blogger. Not that anyone noticed...I'm pretty sure this is the first time anyone has realized I haven't blogged in almost a month. I've had some pretty bad moods, and I didn't want it to leech onto my blog. :) I'm (almost) better now.
Things are going well, but I'm entering a new phase of this pregnancy. I'm only twelve weeks in, and I'm starting to show. Well...not so much "show the pregnancy" as it is "I can't suck in my fat tummy because there's a baby behind it". I can actually feel my uterus if I press lightly on my belly, and THAT is just weird to me. Every time Casey catches a glance of my belly (when I'm changing or something) he gets this big grin on his face and starts pawing at my belly. One of these days he's going to draw back nubs... It's cute a little when he's snuggly and sweet, but he's getting really snuggly and sweet all the time, and sometimes I need a little s p a c e (a totally new development...because I'm usually the one crawling into his lap for snuggles.) I'm not going to post any preggie belly pictures until I actually look pregnant, instead of just looking fat. :)
I have finally got my morning sickness figured out. (You know, just in time for it to go away for my second trimester...) I realized I get MUCH more sick if I don't eat. I hardly have any food aversions, but when I do they're STRONG. I basically eat every two hours, and I don't usually have many problems. (my cubby at work is filled with food, so much that the girls are starting to pick on me a little.) I've got quite the stash of clementines, yogurt, peanut butter and crackers. If for some reason I can't eat than I can drink juice, and that'll stall the nausea for about a half hour, but not much longer. If I'm starting to get hungry and I drink water, it makes me VIOLENTLY ill (a very, very sad thing....because I love water.) I used to be able to go a whole day at work without eating or taking a break (you know, if we were super busy or something) but everyone knows that my break is a priority. Even if I'm not hungry (because I've been snacking) I still need to take a break just to sit and recharge. If I don't, I get really cranky and tired....and that does not make for a very good work environment.
The fun sciatica is back...and Doc says it's here to stick around for awhile. Before, it was an injury. Now it's related to my pregnancy....it HURTS.
On the bright side....even though I'm showing a little, I haven't gained any weight. I gained a little, then I lost it all when I was sick. I'm sooo glad that I'm feeling better, because I was seriously miserable for two weeks. I called my OB with the doc-in-a-box diagnosis...and he gave me a Z-pack....by the time Day 3 rolled around, I had my voice back and was well on my way to a full recovery. :) I'm SO glad...because I kept having visions of my sister's 3 month long pneumonia battle, and I did NOT want to go through that.
Okay... I guess that's it for an update. I have my major sonogram next Friday, so we *should* be able to hear the heartbeat. So exciting!!!!

Hello, Minion.
Nice to see you! You look less like a blob, and a little more like a baby! (even though you have a tail, we still love you)

Names
I just had to share my husband's list of names that he's picked out for our baby. Since we know that there is only one, we know we need to narrow it down to one boy name and one girl name. (there is plenty of time, but it's still fun to talk about...)
Boy Names:
Enzo
Shelby (automatically vetoed, since we have a dog by that name.)
Aston
Bentley
Cooper
Girl Names:
Porsche
Elise
Carrera
Miura
Has anyone caught the theme with any of these names? It took me a second, but I got it.
These are car names. Most of which are very fast, very expensive cars. Performance cars or Super cars, if you will.
I refuse to let him name our baby after a car. I will admit, though....I laughed pretty hard.

Ka-BOOM
I haven't blogged in awhile, and there has been a good reason. Personally, I don't think it's a good idea for someone that's been trying to get pregnant for as long as I have to complain about every little pregnancy symptom that they have. I have been pretty fortunate to not have too much of a problem with symptoms....but when I do have them, I can keep my head up and be grateful for them. Pregnancy symptoms mean that things are going well, and that I don't have to worry too much about the baby (right now, anyway.)
The nausea hasn't been too bad....and I learned that out of all the things that I threw up, fruit was the least offensive coming back up. I can look on the bright side of vomiting, you know. ;)
The heartburn is manageable. I can take Tums when it gets too bad, and I figured out out to make it so I get heartburn less. (eat smaller meals, in my case...because the bigger the meal, the bigger the heartburn.)
I laugh a little when I'm reaching for my snacks. Fortunately, I haven't gained much weight, though I'm eating ALL THE TIME. I can't eat large quantities....so I'm kind of just stretching out my meals over the course of the whole day. I eat a lot of fruit and veggies (A: because they're healthy and I feel less guilty about eating a ton if I'm eating a ton of healthy stuff, and B: because those don't taste that bad coming back up.)
I'm still peeing all the time and even though it's kind of nuisance, Casey thinks it's hilarious. The girls at work are getting used to me running to the bathroom 100 times a day...because I'm either in there peeing or throwing up. They know to answer the phone, because I might not have time to tell anyone where I'm going.... I've been invited to some bonfires and fun things this week...because I haven't gone because I don't want to pee in a field 30 times during the evening.
Even though my sciatic nerve pain is killer...I can stretch it out most of the time to relieve the pressure on the nerve. It actually hasn't been that bad this week...so I'm guessing that I was able to heal and help the injury that Dr. M suspected I had.
BUT....
I canNOT deal with this lack of sleep. I haven't slept for more than an hour or two at a time in almost a solid month. I haven't slept more than 4 hours a night in 3 weeks. I am feeling so run down that people at work tell me I look like I might burst into tears any minute (and to tell you the truth, I feel that way, too.) I even tried taking benadryl last night, in hopes that I could get maybe 6 solid hours of sleep...but I got less sleep last night than I've gotten in the past week combined. I even put away my nightly water bottle (unheard of...I've been sleeping with a liter of water next to my bed for at least the past 7 years) in hopes that if I didn't drink anything during the night, then I wouldn't have to get up to pee. Of course, I still had to get up 10 times in the night to pee. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep...the rest of the night was spent trying to get back to sleep.
Because I'm not sleeping, it's getting really hard to keep my head up about all the other little symptoms, and I spent a lot of my weekend either crying in Casey's lap and trying to take naps (to no avail). Thank goodness my follow-up with Dr. M is this Thursday...maybe he has some ideas.
And the icing on the cake? Casey is sick. Really, really sick. Like, I left work 4 hours early because he called and said he thought he threw up blood. If his fever gets any higher, I'm dragging him to the doctor. So...my husband is terribly sick, and I'm sleep deprived and trying to take care of him.
Things aren't very happy in the Sebold house today.

Hell-ooooo
Hello, Heartburn. I have actually never experienced heartburn in my life until this week...so at first, I didn't really know what it was. Now that I know, I can keep those Tums handy, because man it's a KILLER.
I've been having to kind of take it easy at work...because I've noticed when I work too hard, I start to cramp and get more tired than I already am. Saturday was INSANE, and I never got to take a lunch break....so I was exhausted, sore, and incredibly cranky by the end of the 12 hour workday. I told my boss than I didn't want to have to pull the "I'm pregnant and I need to break" card....but I will if I have to. I can't work 12 and 13 hour days without some sort of break! At least the Boss Man fed me....and I had some awesome spinach pizza with white sauce. Yummmm..
I have managed to avoid most serious nausea, but I am kind of amused with my only food aversion. I can't eat sweet. Sweet equals candy, chocolate, and anything that people turn to when their sweet tooth starts knocking. It also includes the Preggie Pops, which were meant to keep nausea at bay anyway....but since they are sweet and they make me sick...it kind of defeats the purpose. They're just hanging out in my cupboard right now.
So..because of my recent sugar aversion, I have been eating pretty healthily. Lots of veggies, protein, and a tiny bit of fruit (because some fruit is too sweet).
For the most part, I'm feeling good! I'm tired a lot....and if left to my own devices, I could sleep all day (and all night.) It takes a lot of effort to get up and moving and get things done...instead of totally being a couch potato all day.
I'm making an effort to be happier and not so paranoid about the pregnancy...but then I have the stupid people asking me "OH have you picked out a name yet! Oh it's so fun being pregnant! Yay!" And then they don't understand why I'm a little hesitant to even think about a "baby" because I might not have one. And they bug me to pick out names, because that's was normal people do. Sorry, I didn't have a normal pregnancy last time, so excuse me for being a little worried about this time.
OH, and then I get the snot-nosed kids that offer to have me call them if I have any questions (condescending a little?). Unlike you, chickie....I did this on purpose. Excuse me for not wanting to solicit advice from the likes of you. Grrrr.
Okay, I'm done. I need to feed myself.
