Why do people feel the need to tell me how horrible I'm going to be feeling in the future? How miserable I'm going to be while being pregnant, and how THEY felt when THEY were pregnant? "Oh, Lyndsey....you're 20 weeks! You're going to be so miserable in a few weeks, you won't be able to wait to get that kid out!"
Just shut up. Seriously.
This Minion is 4 years coming...and I'm going to enjoy every little horrible part of this pregnancy. Even when I was throwing up my toenails, Casey would hold back my hair and say, "I'm so glad you're throwing up....I'm so glad you're sick...." (and then he would bring me water and crackers to the bathroom.) He totally gets it! Every crappy thing that women go through while being pregnant means that something is going right! Your body is doing its job! So what if you're miserable?!
I seriously couldn't care less that walking up stairs makes me dizzy, and that I still can't eat red meat (unless it's hamburger helper). Who cares that it hurts to put on my socks and shoes in the morning, or that I never sleep because I'm too busy trekking to the bathroom? And back pain? Whoopee! I'm growing a baby, and that's what matters. In four months, I'm going to receive the greatest gift, and all of this "misery" that everyone complains about won't matter at all. I'm going to enjoy it, even if some parts kind of suck right now.

Well said. Although, it isn't a definite that you are going to feel miserable! I don't feel miserable. I have 3 weeks left and people are like are you ready to be done, and I honestly am not ready to be done because I feel horrible, but because now I am just excited. :o) So you might not feel miserable. It's all in your attitude, and yours is a good one (I think)! :o)
I loved being pregnant. It's such an amazing experience all around. Plus, pregnancy is the easiest time of taking care of a child. =]
Amen! And as soon as you see get to hold her in your arms you will forget about all of it anyway.
I wonder about women who dwell on the negatives of pregnancy. Yeah, sure it was rough, but so is a hangover (from what I hear) and plenty of women voluntarily do that too.
Well said, all of you!
I love the way you think! You are wonderful!!
