17 weeks!

Holy crap. I'm 17 weeks pregnant. Not only am I actually pregnant, but I'm looking pregnant. :) I'm enjoying the "I can still wear my own shirts and look cute" pregnant stage. They're tight around my belly, but not so tight that it's uncomfortable. I am fat, but it's okay because I'm pregnant. Right? RIGHT?!

The doctors/nurses were a little shocked when I got on the scale for my monthly weigh-in. I actually weight several pounds less than I did pre-pregnancy. Since I'm not actively dieting and just eating super healthy (not that I have a choice....), and since I didn't exactly start out "underweight" they're not worried about it.

We went to get our ultrasound, and we were hoping that our little Minion would be cooperative and show off the goods, so we would know what we're having. The tech took her sweet freaking time measuring the head and legs and all that fun stuff. She mentioned that Minion had a "slow, lazy boy heartbeat". She was pointing out the feet and toes and all...then she stopped talking. I asked what we were looking at. She said, "Her butt." me: "Her butt??" tech:"Her butt." So, there you have it, folks. We're having a little girl! And seriously, she would NOT stay still. She was throwing punches and kicks like crazy...and she was trying her darndest to stand completely on her head. I'm starting to feel little flutters intermittently...but nothing on a regular basis. It's kind of annoying....I want to know she's there!

Speaking of Gracie...we have a new game/trick (which is quite the feat, because Gracie can barely sit on command.) I lift up my shirt and say, "Kiss the baby!" and Gracie comes RUNNING and starts licking my belly furiously. (okay, Heather and Megan....stop gagging. We think it's cute.)
